Meet Dr. Krystal Vaughn

Choosing the right therapist for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll make as a parent. You want someone who not only understands children but also has the experience to help them—and your family—move forward with confidence.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Krystal Vaughn, Ph.D., LPC-S, has dedicated her career to supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families through life's challenges. She founded Vaughn Therapeutic Collective with one mission in mind: to provide exceptional, compassionate care that helps families strengthen relationships, build resilience, and thrive.

Before opening Vaughn Therapeutic Collective, Dr. Vaughn served on the faculty at both Tulane University School of Medicine's Department of Child Psychiatry and LSU Health Sciences Center, where she taught and supervised graduate counseling students, future therapists, and licensed professionals while continuing to provide direct clinical services to children and families.

As a nationally recognized leader in child and adolescent mental health, Dr. Vaughn has trained professionals across the country, published books and research on child development, parenting, play therapy, and family relationships, and presented at national and international conferences. Her clinical expertise includes anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, parenting support, life transitions, and the developmental challenges children and teens face as they grow.

What matters most, however, isn't the titles or publications—it's the families who walk through our doors.

Dr. Vaughn believes parents are the experts on their own children. She partners closely with families to understand each child's unique strengths, challenges, and goals while providing practical, evidence-based strategies that create meaningful change at home, at school, and in everyday life.

Every clinician at Vaughn Therapeutic Collective has been thoughtfully selected and mentored under Dr. Vaughn's leadership, sharing the same commitment to compassionate, individualized, evidence-based care. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, social relationships, or adjusting to life's changes, our team is here to help your family move forward with confidence.

Because when you choose a therapist for your child, experience matters—but so does feeling heard, understood, and supported.

We look forward to partnering with your family.
